EDITED POST (Blogger deserves to be eaten by a shark)

Ok, first of all, sorry for editing your post Chels. But I've been trying to add images on a new post but it just REFUSES TO WORK. Nothing pops up when i click the "add image" icon! It just says "Error on page". WTFF. Blogger is seriously testing what's left of my patience.

Good news is, I was planning to write about something related to tailsforwhales. Now I know I'm supposed to get myself and my friends to do the "fluke". But I figured you people would rather see the man above do it :)
*His name is Alexander SkarsgÄrd. He is in that vampire show with a lot of unnecessary sex scenes "True Blood" . And he's a Swede. Scandinavian men. woohoo.

And speaking of sharks, its Shark Week this week! Sharks scare the crap out of me but they are so majestic and beautiful dontcha think? Down with sharks fin!

I have found this article

http://www.cosmeticsandtoiletries.com/testing/animalalt/2412866.html

Cosmetic are the best invention on earth because it covers flaws but i think it didnt cover a sin called animal testing.

*Warning* I might sound emotional on the entry.

Animal testing is foolish to me because animals are not the main consumer. Would they even say "ouch this is harmful to my skin" " Oh, this is so comfortable".. They wouldnt. Only the machine would. We are the ones who use it we test it on ourselves.

Imagine your dog and cats get abducted and got some cosmetic testing. They died or something bad happen to them. Who is responsible for their lifes?

We are!

I agree with Diy animals are still considered as inferior to us. But no matter what it's a life and a little life with feelings. Why are we even considering using a life to be a guinea pig to test all the products we dont dare to try on ourselves?

If we are scared to test it on ourselves, would you think the animal is not scared?

Even if it is testing for medical purposes or a good cause, it's already morally wrong.

That's what I think. We measure too much things, feared too much things but we didnt realised we have worsened too many things.

Doing My Part

Hey guys, this is a miracle. I've finally forced myself to sit my ass down and contribute a post in this wonderful blog. Not that I'm saying it's a chore; far from it in fact. It's just that I sometimes think I have way too many thoughts on a lot of different subjects that it's kinda impossible to properly articulate myself in one simple and sweet blog post.

So here's the deal. We all want to make the world a better place. But it's pretty easy to feel very small and helpless, I know I do, all the time. So I thought, why not just start with myself? It sounds cheesy and selfish at the same time but it's a stepping stone nonetheless. So I'm gonna share the little contributions I make (hopefully) to making our planet a much more bearable place to live in.

1) Educate myself
We have the internet. Just READ READ and READ SOME MORE, about the causes you're passionate about, just be informed.

2) Say "no" to plastic bags
I know people might think I'm just jumping on some kind of trend by doing this, but really now, do you really need that many ntuc plastic bags? I know how annoying it can get when the auntie behind you stares like a nut when you give the cashier your shopping bag but the Earth is more important than saving face.

3) Saving Energy
You've heard this so many times before but yeah, switch off anything which is not in use. And like Chels mentioned, it does help decrease the PUB bills. Hence, making my dad less grumpy.

4) Buying Responsibly
I'm a girl, so chances are, I like makeup. And guess what? I do! I use Body Shop products cos not only are they good for my skin, they, as many of you know, use mostly natural ingredients, promote social activism and DON'T TEST ON ANIMALS. I heard Revlon is against animal testing as well.

5) Speaking out
I love animals. And I hate to see them getting hurt, be it wild animals or the strays in the neighbourhood. So when I see some annoying kid chasing and poking a stray cat with a stick, I'll usually give him the "I'm gonna cut a bitch" look (well, provided the mom is nowhere to be seen). It's lame I know. I just think kids should be taught compassion early on and unfortunately down here, animals are considered inferior to humans. Well, let's just say my 3 cats are far more intelligent and worthy of attention than a lot of asswipes I know. Yeah yeah, I fully accept my destiny as a future crazy cat lady (if I'm not already one).

So there. Forgive me if I sound preachy. Looking forward to future posts!
